The seventh national gathering is the venue for the first ever “Copa Aberta,” or “Open Cup” Capoeira competition made up of three divisions: graduated students, instructors, and professors. Watch the competitors as they are judged in developing the game, executing takedowns, and performing acrobatics. The DVD features appearances by Mestres Catitu, King, Lobão, Rã, Chocolate, Fran, Espanto, Hulk, Maurão, Aberrê, Berimbau, Farmacia, Adelmo, Ednilson and Cabinha. The DVD also includes a mestres roda, maculelê, batizado, and formatura.
