New Jersey Capoeira Arts Center is the home base of Grupo Liberdade de Capoeira in Newark. The Group was formally inaugurated in Brazil in 1988. The Center, opened in 1996, is located in Newark's historic Ironbound district, the Center offers classes for adults and children in the traditional Brazilian art of Capoeira.
