Announcing the Launch of the Virtual Capoeira Community! More than just a store, VirtualCapoeira.com is excited to introduce the VirtualCapoeira community as part of our dedication to help students and instructors across the globe grow the art of Capoeira and unite Capoeiristas worldwide. We invite you to help grow the community by adding to our events calendar, photo gallery, Capoeira information resource, and song lyrics archive, and hope you’ll take advantage of some unique features we are excited to bring to the online Capoeira community… Group Profiles: We designed the Virtual Capoeira Community to be a useful tool for Capoeiristas, but the extent of the benefit will depend on you! We’ve built our Group, School and Player Profiles to be linked according to your associations. You can post your personal profile, link up to where you train, and view and comment on your friends’ profiles. Instructors can also link their schools to their corresponding group association, making group profiles a unique resource displaying schools, players, and upcoming events associated with each group. Note that we’ve designed the group profiles so that they can be edited by anyone to increase collaboration across groups; we ask that you please be respectful to information posted by other users. Be sure to check back with us often as more Capoeiristas, groups, and schools post their profiles. Berimbau Videos: It’s about time! Now you can learn to play the berimbau with free instructional video clips taught by Mestre Virgulino of Grupo Cordão de Ouro. Four videos are currently available—an introduction covering the basics of playing the berimbau, and Angola, Benguela, and São Bento Grande de Angola—with many more to come. Check back with us often as our list grows to include Santa Maria, Iuna, Samango, Amazonas and more… Still not satisfied? Neither are we! We want your feedback. VirtualCapoeira.com is committed to growing the Virtual Community and is excited to introduce new features as we continue to grow. Have a suggestion? Post it on our blog or contact us at any time.
