Instrument Bags - Soldado

Today is the 4th of July and I did a Joda at the park with my students. It was a great success, but what I was most excited about was my instument bag. This was the first time I didn't have my arms full of instruments. Ususally I have the berimbau in one hand and the pandeiro, cabaca and caixixi in the other, while the rock and tucum are in my pockets. Well today everything was tucked in nicely in there designated spots on the berimbau bag and strapped to my back. My hand were free and I even walked all the way to the park and pushed the stroller. It was great. No fuss at all. Now if you guys start selling donkeys I won't have to lug the atabaques. Thanks Virtual Capoeira, you guys rock. By the way how did you guys get my stuff to me so fast. I mean it was like I ordered and then, "bam" it was in my hand.
How I learned about Capoeira

Hey, what a great site, so beautifully designed! Not to mention you've got a lot of great stuff! When I first learned about Capoeira it was because of this article: http://www.welloria.com/Capoeira/Modern_Capoeira_Mestre_Bimba_Mestre_Pastinha_p1.html It's an article all about Capoeira called The Evolution of Modern Capoeira: Mestre Bimba and Mestre Pastinha, and I would have never known otherwise.

Great site! I plan on buying some dvd's and cd's soon! Would love to see some new blog topics to discuss different aspects of capoeira with the other members of this site. Things like, music, techniques, instruments, etc., really anything having to do with capoeira. or maybe you already have these I'm just not seeing it? Would like to chat with other members so let me know! |
