How do I redeem a gift certificate?
To redeem your Virtual Capoeira gift certificate, simply
select “Enter Coupon Code” on the Shopping Cart page and enter the certificate
code exactly as it appears in the field provided. Note that codes are case
sensitive. Any unused portion of your gift certificate will remain as a balance
on your gift certificate to be used on future purchases.
When will my product be delivered?
Standard delivery time for orders within the United States is within 3 to 8
business days (Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays) following
credit card authorization. Standard delivery time within the United States
includes Alaska, Hawaii, P.O. boxes, APO or FPO addresses, and U.S. territories
including American Samoa, Guam, Marianas Islands, Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin
Islands.

What gives? I’m missing half of my berimbau!
Berimbaus are always shipped in two separate boxes in order to protect the
fragile cabaça and reduce shipping charges. The irregular size and shape of the
package containing the verga makes it cost prohibitive to ship everything
together, and the cabaça needs to be carefully packed to avoid damage during
shipping. Although both boxes of berimbau orders are always shipped from our
warehouse on the same day, it is not uncommon to have one of the packages arrive
a day or two behind the other. Sometimes the verga arrives first because the
fragile cabaça received special handling, and sometimes the cabaça arrives first
because of the odd size and shape of the package containing the verga. The
bottom line is if you are half a berimbau short, you can expect the remainder of
your order to arrive within 1–2 shipping days.
I’m afraid to string my berimbau because it
appears to be cracked. Can I exchange it?
There is no need for concern. It is not uncommon for berimbaus to have thin
cracks running vertically along the verga. Biriba (the wood used to make
berimbaus) can crack during production, but these cracks do not affect the
strength or sound of the instrument. Mestre Acordeon, one of the most renown
capoeira musicians of all time, mentions this on his site
capoeiraarts.com as well. He says, "Berimbaus can come with some small
cracks on the verga, it does not mean the berimbau is broken and it does not

Virtual Capoeira’s berimbau shipping policy provides you further assurance
that your berimbau is in good working condition. VirtualCapoeira.com requires
that each berimbau be strung and matched to a cabaça immediately before
shipping. This is done both to ensure that the berimbau is strong and in working
condition as well as to match the verga with a suitable cabaça that together
will make a great berimbau. The process of testing vergas and cabaças together is called
“marrying a berimbau” and this is done after your order is placed. This is part
of our standard quality control to ensure that our customers receive great
berimbaus with excellent sound.
What do I do if I received the wrong size or color of
a product?
Please see our
exchange policy for instructions on how to return an item to
exchange it for a different size or color. At Virtual Capoeira, we make every
effort to provide
sizing information on our clothing to ensure the best fit.
Shipping charges will not be reimbursed if an item is being exchanged due to an
incorrect size choice at checkout.
If you received a size that does not match the size listed on the packaged
invoice, please contact us with the error and see our
exchange policy for instructions on how to package and return the item for the
correct size/color.
How do I return an item?
At Virtual Capoeira, we stand by our products and emphasize exceptional
customer service and quality. Your satisfaction with our products is very
important to us. If you are unsatisfied with your purchase for any reason, you
may return unwashed, unworn, and unused gear within 30 days of purchase for a
refund.
To return or exchange an item:
1. Pack items safely for shipping. Include:
• A copy of the original invoice received with your order and a note
detailing the reason for return and whether you want to exchange the item or
request a refund.
• If exchanging, please include the size and color you wish to exchange for.
2. Ship via a traceable and insurable carrier to the following address:

What if I need to cancel an order?
