How does the affiliate program work?

As a Virtual Capoeira affiliate, you have the opportunity to earn monthly commissions just by referring students and web traffic to our products. Once approved, we will set up an account for you that will track and credit a 7–10% commission on net sales made through your referrals. There are two ways affiliate instructors can direct buyers to our products. First, you can refer your students simply by placing links on your school website and other approved websites. Any traffic that comes through those links is automatically tracked and purchases made are credited to your account. Second, if you don't have a website, simply tell your students to type in an affiliate code of your choosing into the box labeled “Do you have an affiliate promo code? Enter it here” on the first page of the checkout process. You can set your affiliate code by logging into your account and clicking on the link that says “Promo Code and Website Links” under the Affiliate Tools heading. Each month that your commission balance exceeds $25 US Dollars (USD), you will receive a check in the mail for the percentage of net sales you referred to our site. You may also elect to be paid through PayPal.

Am I eligible to become a Virtual Capoeira affiliate instructor?

As Capoeira instructors, we know that schools come large and small. They can be run by experienced Capoeiristas relocating and building a new school, or passionate students teaching the best they can because there is no one to learn from for 200 miles. Our goal is to help instructors regardless of experience and student base get the gear they need for their school and their students.

Because we can only provide one affiliate/wholesale account per school, we need to confirm that you are the school owner, head instructor, or administrative representative authorized to receive commissions and manage points earned for your school. You must be 18 years of age or older. We also need to verify that the status of your school meets the minimum requirements for our affiliate program. Once your application form is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email asking for verification of this status. You may be asked to provide additional documentation.

Is my site eligible to become a Virtual Capoeira web affiliate?

The Virtual Capoeira web affiliate program is reserved for high quality websites dedicated to the art of Capoeira. We are looking for sites that are committed to providing credible resources and information about the history, culture, and game of Capoeira. If your site fits this description, we welcome you to apply for a web affiliate account. We reserve the right to refuse any sites that contain explicit material, pornography, support for discriminatory groups, or any other content we deem to be inconsistent with VirtualCapoeira.com.

Can an instructor or website outside the United States become an affiliate?

Yes. We welcome affiliates from anywhere in the world; however, customers referred through your account must pay in US Dollars and all commission payment checks are issued in US Dollars. International affiliates may choose to be paid via PayPal to facilitate currency exchange if they desire.

Does it cost me anything to become an affiliate?

No! Joining our affiliate program is free and there is no minimum sales requirement.

How much do I get paid?

Commissions are based on monthly volume.

7% on total sales under $1,000 US Dollars ($0.01 to $999.99)

10% on sales totaling $1,000 US Dollars or more

How and when do I get paid?

Approximately 30 days following the end of each calendar month, we will send you a commission check by mail totaling the referral fees earned on net sales of products that were shipped during that month, provided the fee total reaches at least $25 US Dollars. If your account has accrued less than $25, your balance will be rolled over to the following month's earnings until you reach $25. Commissions will not be paid on returned items.

How do I get my students to purchase through my account?

Any traffic that comes through those links is automatically tracked and purchases made are credited to your account. Second, if you don't have a website, you can have your students shop through your account by simply having your students type in an affiliate code of your choosing into the box labeled “Do you have an affiliate promo code? Enter it here” on the first page of the checkout process. You can set your affiliate code by logging into your account and clicking on the link that says, “Promo Code and Website Links” under the Affiliate Tools heading. Be sure to choose a promo code that is easy to remember, like your school name or Capoeira nickname. Your school will also earn SchoolPoints for every purchase made through your account, so take advantage of both referral methods to boost your sales and earn free gear faster.

How do I create links on my site?

Cut and paste! We have already created a number of links for you to choose from. Once approved, simply log into your affiliate account and from your account homepage, click on the link that says “Promo Code and Website Links” under the “Affiliate Tools” heading. Browse the available links and decide which one(s) you would like to use. Then copy the html code next to the link (make sure to copy all of the text) and paste it into your websites code where you want the link to appear. It’s that easy.

I don't have a website. Can I still earn commissions and SchoolPoints when I refer my students by word of mouth?

Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. On the first page of the checkout system there is an “Affiliate Promo Code” section where shoppers can enter in a code of your choice that will credit you with the sale. To set up your affiliate promo code, click on, “Promo Code and Website Links” under Affiliate Tools in your account homepage and at the top of the page, type in a code that will be easy for you and the people you refer to remember. Make sure to hit the “Update Code” button and then spread the word!

How do I get my web traffic to purchase through my account?

As a web affiliate, you refer web traffic through your account by placing links on your approved website(s). Any traffic that comes through those links is tracked automatically and purchases made are credited to your account

How do you make sure my referrals are credited to my account?

Each affiliate account is assigned a unique affiliate source ID code. You can access links that have your unique code embedded into the html by logging into your account and selecting the link that says “Promo Code and Website Links” under the “Affiliate Tools” heading on your account’s homepage. Any purchases made by users that visit VirtualCapoeira.com via these embedded links that you place on your site will be automatically tracked by our system and credited to your account. You can also set up a Promo Code that users can type in during the checkout process that will credit your account with the purchase.

Can I display the VirtualCapoeira.com name and logo on my site?

Yes, in its original, unaltered form. The Virtual Capoeira logo appears in the pre-designed affiliate links that are authorized for your use. Please be aware that you may not use our company name or any variation thereof in metatags, hidden text or source code, or your primary web domain name.

What happens if one of my referrals makes a return?

If a sale processed through your account is returned for a refund or if the charges were reversed because of fraud, then your account will be debited for any commissions earned on the sale. If you already received a check for commissions earned on the sale, the sale will be deducted from the following month's check.

I have more than one web site. Can you track them together and pay me with one commission check?

Yes. You can have multiple sites under one affiliate account, provided that those sites are listed on the application form and approved. You'll have the ability to create links, generate reports, and receive one commission check for all of your sites.

Do I earn commissions on my own purchases?

Yes. When you purchase from us through your website, you earn the same commission on your purchase that you would from a visitor purchase.
